Why Chess is Good For You
Playing the game of Chess on a regular basis from childhood improves the learning, thinking, analytical power and decision-making ability of the child.
Chess helps the child learn how to strategize aspects of the game and life in general. In addition, a child can also learn the importance of foresight and planning.
Playing the game of Chess on a regular basis right from childhood teaches the importance of being disciplined in life, and also aids in improving the self-confidence of the child, which is natural and essential for the child’s growth and development.
In the game of Chess, a child learns to do a thorough analysis, research, and assessment of the situation before making any decision. Such an exercise provides mental clarity to the child. Mental clarity and mental dexterity are required for solving problems, analyze consequences, and formulate future tactics.
Children playing chess from an early age often exhibit extraordinary memory skills.
Chess also usually helps in improving concentration and academic performance of the child.
On the whole, playing the game of Chess is useful in transforming a child into a responsible, disciplined, and wise human being.

We have experienced coaches with many years of chess and chess teaching behind them. We provide all members with full equipment such as the chess boards and pieces. Score sheets can be provided for rated matches, or just simply for learning to record the chess moves. This is helpful to both player and coach afterwards to be able to replay and learn from that game.
We also play team matches against other clubs both in person and online. Throughout the year, juniors can participate in rapid and classic internal club chess tournaments.
We also help with entering players into relevant junior chess events.
